2 Days Marangu Route – Kilimanjaro Hiking Tour
The Marangu route is also referred to as the "Coca-Cola" route, as it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope, direct path and the most comfortable route to reach the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest and the most well-established route on the Kilimanjaro. The route is well-developed and the climb is constant and moderate.
On these two days hiking trip, you will hike on the Marangu Route with one night at Mandara Hut and towards Horombo Hut before returning to Mandara for lunch and then hiking back. You will NOT reach the summit. All short treks are offered on a private basis, and you can start on any day of the year.
The short treks are geared for people who like to hike but reaching the summit isn't a "must do", and allow one to experience the excitement of hiking on the highest peak on the African continent. All trekking inside of the Tanzania National Park require the services of a certified Kilimanjaro guide, and the Marangu route is one of the routes where short treks are allowed. For an overnight hike you will stay at the park huts.

After breakfast at the lodge, our driver will pick you up then drive you to the office where you receive a briefing and gear check. Then the drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (45 minutes from Moshi and 2.45Hrs from Arusha). Here you will register and commence with the climb. You and your guide will walk through the rainforest to the Mandara encampment.
You might be lucky to catch a glimpse of the black and white colobus monkeys scrambling through the lush vegetation. Approximately 3 to 4 hours later, you will reach your destination for the day, after a well-earned rest, your guide will take you to the Maundi Crater where you can enjoy wonderful views towards Kenya. Evening meal and overnight stay at Mandara Hut.

We will leave the glades of the rainforest and follow an ascending path on to the open moorlands then the Horombo encampment. We will witness the amazing views of Kibo and Mawenzi.
As we cross the Alpine Zone of the mountain, Look for giant lobelias and groundsels. After lunch at Mandara, hike back to the park gate and drive back to Moshi (about 1 hour).

Our itinerary includes the budget hotel accommodation for 1 day before and after Kilimanjaro hiking. If you need to overnight in different types of accommodations (Upgrade) before and after trek you will need book Hotel at your own expenses.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- For any emergency that require our visitor to ride down, rescue car will be provided
- Refunds will be made for the loss of hours of offer alternative services of comparable standards.
- If clients break into itinerary to shorten the tour while we already paid the whole park fees without a prior negotiation no refund is made, simply because the government doesn’t refund the park fees.
- The company has the right to subcontract the deal if necessary and the service will be offered as agreed
Payment Policy:
- A deposit of 5% is required at the time of booking confirmation. The remaining balance will be paid on arrival before trek start.
- Deposits are payable through PESAPAL which is a payment gateway service through which client can process payments either via mobile money, cards and mobile banking, where you can use both debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards). With additional of 3.5% as online payments charges per transaction.
Our cancellation policy:
- Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in number of occupancies are subject to cancellation
- Traveler may cancel any day before the experience start date and receive a FULL REFUND
